A one-time only event showcasing the power of 5G with the launch of the iPhone 12.
5G is here. And to tell that story, Verizon partnered with Apple, Riot Games, and the NFL to showcase the power of the new network.
To start we designed, built, and filmed a 5G Esports tournament, featuring celebrities and pro gamers, to launch the new League of Legends: Wild Rift that was streamed on Twitch for the first time ever. Set design was inspired by the characters and architecture of the game.
Next, we invited LL Cool J, John Cena, Alex Rodriguez and Terry Crews to experience the new Verizon 5G SuperStadium in the NFL app. The celebrities cheered on their teams during Sunday and Monday Night Football games, and challenged each other to take interactive penalties of their opponents choice.
