What Is Experience Design?

Experience design is a lot of things. It’s the way someone feels when they walk in to a space. It’s the journey they take through a digital experience. It’s the materials, the interface, the sounds, the stories. But most importantly, it’s the memories. As an experience designer my job is to create a human connection between brands and consumers, and I do that by evoking an emotional response at each opportunity. Human centered design has to be at the core of everything, because people remember the things they enjoy, and those memories are what create a real connection and brand loyalty for years to come.
